New Police Officer Sworn in at NCPD

The New Castle City Police would like to welcome their newest officer, Shane Finnin, whom was sworn in during a City Council meeting on March 28, 2019. Officer Finnin is a graduate of Mohawk High School and successfully completed the police academy at the Allegheny County Police Training Academy. Officer Finnin graduated from Washington and Jefferson College in 2008 with a degree in History and Psychology.  He then graduated from Slippery Rock University with a Masters degree in Secondary Education in 2014.  Officer Finnin has worked in the security industry for Rivers Casino surveillance, and believes that a career in Law Enforcement is the best way to make the most of his background and skill set.  He also believes that working for the New Castle Police Department will be a career where every day brings something different.
